Bucheimer & Bucheimer-Clark Fitments

Updated: 1 hour ago

I hesitate to create this post about Bucheimer fitment charts, because it's going to be lengthy yet the brand is not collectible save for the Dirty Harry holsters by Bucheimer-Clark, early '70s (but first appearing in late '30s Clark catalogues).

1950s (see my post on Bucheimer eras to know which your holster is from):

1960s (ditto on the mark for your particular holster):

This is 1960:

This one's 1961:

Continues with 1963. This particular catalogue has both J.M.B. and Bucheimer-Clark combined into it, separated into sequential 'chapters':

Pages from '67, '68 and '69:

1962 Bucheimer-Clark only:

At this point you will have noticed that each of the above is simply a page from the catalogue, vs. a separate, short fitment chart.

1971 JMB only:

1974 JMB only, uses same fitment chart as the'71:

Below I've skipped over other cats to show 1979's JMB only, that is representative of them:

Now for Bucheimer-Clark in CA, it is far easier for me to post a PDF of 1975's lengthy catalogue, of which the Lawman Leather founder brags that he forced them to reprint it without the Dirty Harry holster (the Clark No. 15) in it:

And in '77 and '78 the No. 15 reappeared (the newer year is first here):

In 1980, the J.M.B. catalogue; dunno if there was a B-C catalogue that year:

And finally, 1985's under new ownership that didn't last more than a few years, are both brands now merged into the Frederick location:

Above the Combat Protector is the rarest of J.M.B. holsters, never sighted as a complete holster.

THE END :-).

The Bucheimer companies were bankrupted very soon after the sale in '83. We in the industry wondered eventually where they went, not ever knowing that they were closed.
